New Disposable pens for Lantus

Sanofi-Aventis has introduced a new Lantus pre-filed insulin pen called SoloSTAR. Doses can be set from 1 to 80 units at a time. Each Lantus SoloSTAR pen contains 300 units of insulin. Once the pen is used for the first time, it will last up to 28 days when kept at room temperature. Unopened insulin pens are stored in the refrigerator at a temperature between 36°F-46°F.
